We are seeking an intellectually curious and engaging Psychology Teacher to join a premier Social Sciences department in Redbridge. Core Responsibilities

• Curriculum Excellence: Planning and delivering high-quality Psychology lessons primarily at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) with potential contributions to GCSE or Social Science electives at Key Stage 4.

• Theoretical Mastery: Delivering expert instruction on core psychological domains including Social Influence Cognitive Psychology Psychopathology and Biopsychology.

• Research Methods Lead: Teaching students the fundamental tools of the trade from designing controlled experiments and observations to mastering the statistical analysis required for scientific rigour.

• Exam Preparation: Guiding students through the demands of external examinations (AQA or OCR) with a heavy focus on the PEEL essay structure high-level evaluation (AO3) and application skills (AO2).

• Contemporary Debate: Facilitating respectful high-level classroom discussions on contentious issues such as the nature-nurture debate gender bias in research and the ethics of psychological testing.

• Pastoral Leadership: Serving as a dedicated Form Tutor providing a supportive environment and helping students navigate their UCAS applications and transitions to Higher Education.
