Job Summary
The Health & Safety (H&S) Apprentice will support the H&S team in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment at Marlborough Highways. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in various aspects of health safety and Environment management including risk assessments safety audits and compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the H&S team in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
- Support the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Help maintain accurate records of safety incidents near misses and corrective actions.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of safety training sessions for employees.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to health and safety.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- A keen interest in health and safety and a desire to pursue a career in this field.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential hazards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- UK driving license holder.
