Openedge Developer
Location:Thorpe Park LeedsHybridworking.
Join us as an Openedge Developer and play a key role in building and supporting the systems that keep Lowell running. Youll be handson designing developing and maintaining complex OpenEdge ABL solutions working closely with engineers architects DBAs and product teams to deliver robust secure and welltested software in a regulated (FCAaligned) environment. Alongside daytoday development youll contribute to technical design discussions help shape the longerterm technology roadmap and champion good engineering practices across the team. This role suits someone who enjoys ownership thrives in structured delivery is comfortable balancing development with problemsolving and continuous improvement and is happy to support critical systems as part of a 3rd line outofhours rota when needed.
What we are looking for:
Extensive experience developing complex OpenEdge ABL solutions including integrations within a structured SDLC environment
Strong delivery discipline covering documentation testing estimation and release processes in regulated or wellgoverned settings
Proven ability to plan and manage multiple technical workstreams using tools such as Azure DevOps Boards or Jira
Confident communicator who works effectively with developers DBAs analysts and business stakeholders
Experience (or strong interest) in PASOE RESTful APIs database performance tuning and operational best practice
No formal qualifications required but Progress/OpenEdge training or certifications and wider software or database engineering knowledge are advantageous
