Job Summary
This is a hybrid role based in Bridgwater requiring 3 - 4 days per week on site with support available for those looking to relocate closer to the project.
As a Mechanical HVAC Engineer you will support the delivery of heating ventilation and air conditioning systems across a major construction programme.
Support installation of heating ventilation and air conditioning systems on site
Provide technical support to construction teams to resolve installation issues
Review engineering drawings and specifications for site suitability
Identify and report installation or documentation issues promptly
Liaise with design and engineering teams to resolve technical queries
Support tracking of site issues and contribute to performance reporting
Assist in reviewing and implementing engineering changes on site
Help identify recurring issues and suggest practical improvements
Ensure work aligns with safety quality and project requirements
Qualifications :
Nuclear experience is not essential but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.
We also recognise that the perfect candidate rarely exists. If you feel you meet around 80% of the criteria and are motivated to develop further we would strongly encourage you to apply
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Experience working with HVAC systems within construction projects
Understanding of mechanical building services or industrial systems
Strong problem-solving skills with a practical engineering mindset
Ability to communicate clearly with site and engineering teams
Good attention to detail when reviewing drawings and documentation
Collaborative approach with willingness to learn and develop
Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced site environment
