Finance Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an SG&A Finance Analyst to provide highquality financial support to our Senior Finance Business Partner. This role is key to ensuring strong cost control accurate reporting and robust financial governance across all SG&A functions.

You will play an important part in budgeting and forecasting cycles monthend close and delivering insightful analysis that supports effective decision making. By ensuring transparency accountability and continuous improvement in SG&A cost management youll enable the business to drive performance and optimise spend.

What youll be doing

• Preparing monthly SG&A reporting variance analysis and insightful commentary
• Supporting annual budgets forecasts and longterm planning cycles
• Leading SG&A monthend activities at analyst level including journals accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Analysing cost drivers risks and opportunities across SG&A functions
• Supporting functional leaders with clear accessible financial insights
• Contributing to cost optimisation initiatives and process improvements

Experience & qualifications

• AAT Level 4 minimum with ongoing study toward CIMA ACCA or ACA 
• Previous experience in financial analysis or accounting (FMCG exposure desirable but not essential)
• Strong Excel skills and advanced IT capability (Word PowerPoint)
• Experience using ERP/accounting systems (IFS Sage or Oracle; IFS Cloud desirable)
