3 Month Contract With A Local Authority
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter with proven experience in a range of repair installation and security-related carpentry tasks. The ideal candidate will be confident working with various materials and door/window systems and capable of delivering high-quality workmanship in both emergency and planned jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out force entry procedures and lock changes when required
- Repair and make safe damaged doors and windows
- Work on a variety of materials including UPVC timber sash Crittall and aluminium
- Build and install new front and back doors to a high standard
- Repair replace and install fencing and gates
- Assess damage and recommend appropriate repair solutions
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Respond to emergency call-outs when necessary
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of UPVC timber aluminium and steel-framed systems
- Ability to carry out both repair and installation work independently
- Experience with lock changes and securing properties (desirable)
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Full driving licence (if role involves travel)
- Ability to work flexibly including emergency or out-of-hours jobs
