Job Summary
Hours of work: 20.75 hours Teaching Assistant and 5.00 hours Lunchtime Assistant
Working pattern: Part-time Term-time only (working for 39weeks per year plus 6.05weeks annual leave which will increase after 5 years continuous service)

Skylark Federation are looking for a Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Assistant to join our welcoming and friendly village school at Hamsey Cooksbridge Lewes. We have friendly and engaged families happy children who are keen to do their best and a positive supportive working environment.
The hours of work are 08:30am until 12:00pm two days a week and 8:30am until 15:00pm three days a week as a teaching assistant 12:00pm noon until 13:00pm as a lunchtime assistant for five days a week. This position is for five days a week. This position is to work across KS1 and KS2 as it includes three afternoons of PPA cover.
The successful candidate will support the teacher in the classroom to deliver teaching. They will work with children and assist with all learning activities.
They will either workacross the classroom one-to-one with a pupil or with a small group assisting children who may need a little extra help. Youll be there to boost the confidence of the pupils you are working with empowering the children in a nurturing and supportive environment whilst openly assisting the teacher.
You will be an extra pair of eyes in the classroom picking up on any changes in behaviour and helping to ensure that every child has a safe and happy learning experience.
