Job Summary
At GSF Car Parts ourCategoryProgrammeteam play a crucial part in the development of our product offering across our multiple sales channels. As a SupportProgrammeManageryou will be responsible in ensuring thatthecategory and businessobjectivesare achieved for this area reportinginto the ProgrammeManager.
- The programme team covers multiple category areas including:
Oil and Automotive Fluids (CoolantAdblue Screen wash etc)
Consumables (Additives and workshop dry consumables)
Accessories and Performance parts
- Electric vehicle specific parts

Main Duties Supporting the Programme manager/Programme team on the below:
- Developingand definingthe brand strategies within each ofthecategories which consider the market size suppliers competition market sharegrowthand trends within the marketplace that will increase salesprofitand market share.To ensure that our product offer and buying terms are optimised
To effectively manage the life cycle of your categories ensure that the stocking profiling programme is relevant for the needs of the business liaising with supply chain and procurement to ensure the category stock holding are effective.
Review lost sales and conversion data to support development of core productlines and category areas.
Consolidatethe product offer whereto support improved pricing availability or overall commercial offer.
Working with the pricing team to ensure that the category pricing is positioned correct for the market while maximisingthe sales opportunity.
Supportingcatalogue team to ensure market leading cataloguing information is available
Support Ecommerce Channel Growth supporting online sales and driving different online marketing initiatives
Assistmarketing andbusiness needs byimplementingcompelling category & promotional campaigns to drivegrowth.
Working with the Procurement team toidentifythe best sources for the products and brands within the categories to ensure that groupobjectivesare achieved in terms of sales and margin
- Supporting the branches and functional departments with product queries.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience in commercial procurement and/or marketing ideally within the automotive aftermarket or FMCG environment.
Whatyoullneed to succeed:
- Knowledge of product management
Experience of developing channel management and running product promotions
Excellent datamanagement skills
Experience of Microsoft Officeespeciallyadvanced Excel
Experience of MAM or similar would beadvantageous
Experience of using data to analyse and interpret business requirements
Strong communicationskills
Influencing negotiating and persuasive skills
- Ability to act on own initiative
