About the Role
As Retail Marketing Manager you will be responsible for driving local marketing excellence across the BYD dealer network in Germany.
You will act as the key interface between BYD headquarters and dealer partners ensuring that retail marketing activities are executed professionally efficiently and in line with brand standards.
This role combines strategy operations and hands-on execution with a strong focus on dealer support marketing performance and scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Dealer Marketing Management
Support and guide dealers in planning and executing local marketing activities
Review and approve dealer marketing plans
Ensure alignment with BYD brand guidelines and marketing strategy
2. WKZ Budget Management
Manage and allocate dealer marketing budgets (WKZ)
Review and approve marketing measures and related costs
Oversee WKZ claim process and reimbursement
Ensure efficient and compliant use of marketing funds
3. Retail Marketing Process & Tools
Manage and further develop retail marketing processes (e.g. BGPC system)
Ensure smooth and transparent workflows between BYD and dealers
Train and onboard dealers on marketing tools and systems
4. Retail Activation & Events
Plan and support dealer events (e.g. openings test drive events roadshows)
Develop scalable retail marketing concepts (S/M/L packages)
Support national and local brand activations
5. Marketing Performance & Reporting
Track and evaluate marketing performance (leads test drives sales)
Analyze ROI of dealer marketing activities
Provide insights and recommendations to improve effectiveness
6. Dealer Onboarding & Retail Readiness
Support onboarding of new dealers
Assess retail readiness (showroom marketing capability customer journey)
Ensure consistent retail standards across the network
Your Profile
Degree in Marketing Business Administration or similar
36 years experience in Retail Marketing / Trade Marketing / Automotive / FMCG / Consumer Brand
Experience working with dealer networks or local partners is a strong plus
Strong understanding of local marketing events and campaign execution
Structured and process-oriented mindset
Hands-on proactive and able to manage multiple stakeholders
Strong communication skills (internal external)
Languages
German: fluent
English: fluent
Chinese: a plus
