This is a hybrid position with three days per week in our Berlin office (at Alexanderplatz).

What Will You Do

• Lead the monthly quarterly and annual financial close processes in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP ensuring timely and accurate reporting

• Oversee GL AP and Intercompany (IC) activities including booking payments and reconciliations ensuring compliance with group policies

• Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed on time and drive the timely resolution of open items

• Coordinate and support statutory audits and tax filings across international entities including IFRS to Local GAAP bridging

• Own and manage intercompany processes ensuring alignment across entities and resolving discrepancies efficiently

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. controlling tax treasury) to ensure smooth financial operations and alignment on accounting topics

• Drive continuous improvements standardization and automation of accounting processes and internal controls

• Manage mentor and develop a team of accountants providing guidance on day-to-day activities and fostering accountability

What Will You Bring

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; professional certification (e.g. CPA ACCA) is a plus

• 68 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to GL AP and intercompany processes

• 23 years of experience leading or mentoring a team

• Working experience with HGB is highly preferred IFRS is nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and strong Excel skills

• Full professional proficiency in English and German (both written and spoken)

• Structured detail-oriented and proactive working style

• Strong sense of ownership accountability and focus on process improvement and automation
