Job Summary
Our client PVARA is looking for Managing Director in Islamabad.
About PVARA:
Pakistans Virtual Assets Act 2025 introduces the countrys first comprehensive legal framework for overseeing virtual assets and the businesses that operate in this space. PVARA is the dedicated authority responsible for licensing supervising and regulating Virtual Assets (VAs) and Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) operating in the country.
About the Role
- Experience Requirements: At least 12-15 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in financial regulation central banking securities regulation digital-asset markets financial-sector policy or senior executive roles in complex financial or technology organizations demonstrating:
- Substantial experience working with or within regulatory frameworks for banking securities payments or digital assets.
- A proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex institutional reforms.
- Exposure to blockchain digital-asset ecosystems fintech innovation or technology-enabled financial services.
- Experience representing institutions at senior levels in domestic and international fora.
- Strong familiarity with AML/CFT frameworks financial-stability considerations and international regulatory standards.
Education Requirements:
- Masters degree from a recognized institution preferably in Finance Economics Public Policy Business Administration AI Data Analytics/Science Risk Management or a closely related discipline.
- Interdisciplinary qualifications that combine finance regulation and technology are highly preferred.
- Executive education from globally recognized institutions in financial regulation central banking digital-asset regulation public-sector leadership or digital-economy strategy is desirable.
