Job Summary
Job Description: Plant Operator
Role: Field Executive
Grade: WL3 / WL5
Number of Positions: 3
Experience Required: 3-4 years
Educational Qualification: ITI / Diploma / / (Regular mode of study)
Preferred Industry: Agrochemical FMCG Oil Pesticide Paints
PURPOSE
The Plant Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of plant processes in the
formulation section ensuring adherence to SHE (Safety Health and Environment)
and quality standards. The role involves handling plant operations equipment safety
systems and production processes while contributing to manufacturing excellence
initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Safety and Compliance:
o Adhere to safety systems like IMS Permit to Work Energy Isolation
safety interlocks and Emergency Response Plans.
o Ensure compliance with SHE guidelines and maintain a safe working
environment.
2. Operational Knowledge:
o Operate and monitor DCS (Distributed Control
System) SCADA HMI and PLC systems.
o Perform plant operations including raw material charging and
ensuring correct formulation processes.
o Knowledge of product and pack changeovers in the plant.
3. Documentation and Quality Systems:
o Maintain and follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) BMR
(Batch Manufacturing Records) and QMS (Quality Management
Systems).
o Prevent cross-contamination and ensure quality compliance.
4. Manpower Management:
o Handle and deploy manpower effectively to execute defined tasks.
o Provide guidance and ensure smooth operations during shifts.
5. Manufacturing Excellence:
o Implement TQM/TPM elements such as 5S Autonomous
Maintenance (AM) Daily Work Management (DWM) Kaizen
and Poka Yoke.
o Apply knowledge of QCC IM and 7 QC tools to improve processes.
6. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
o Identify and troubleshoot operational issues to minimize breakdowns
and downtime.
