Job Description:

The Ring Go-To-Market Business Insights and Analytics team is building the infrastructure to automate transactional data exchange with its retail partners.
The EDI Engineer will serve as a key technical resource partnering with client business teams and external retailers to design implement and maintain end-to-end EDI integration solutions.
Responsibilities include the development and upkeep of client EDI specifications message mapping and supplier configurations.
This role requires a candidate who brings a strong combination of technical depth analytical rigor and cross-functional communication skills.
The ability to coordinate effectively across both technical and business stakeholders is essential to success in this position.

Basic Qualifications

4 years of experience designing or architecting new and scalable systems with demonstrated knowledge of design patterns reliability principles and system scaling
4 years of hands-on experience with at least one EDI software platform such as Gentran Cleo or Contivo
4 years of experience with ANSI X12 standards including transaction sets such as 850 (Purchase Order) 855 (Purchase Order Acknowledgment) 856 (Advance Ship Notice) and others
4 years of experience with EDIFACT standards including message types such as IFTMIN INVOIC IFTSTA and others
4 years of experience with EDI communication protocols including AS2 SFTP and HTTPS
Demonstrated experience authoring functional design documents and standard operating procedures (SOPs) troubleshooting complex EDI failures and applying unit testing methodologies
Hands-on integration experience including custom map development API development and proficiency with XSD REST and SOAP-based services

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with clients SEDI platform for at least one full EDI software implementation
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and clear oral and written communication abilities
Proven ability to work independently manage competing priorities and adapt effectively in a fast-paced continuously evolving environment
Demonstrated experience managing complex multi-workstream initiatives with project-level discipline and accountability
