Secure Traces is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our core engineering team. This is a next-generation QA 2.0 role where you will go beyond traditional testing and act as the gatekeeper of quality for complex backend systems APIs and databases.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong manual testing mindset along with the ability to leverage Generative AI tools to enhance test coverage automate workflows and improve testing efficiency.

• Utilize GenAI tools (ChatGPT Claude GitHub Copilot) to design refine and optimize test cases and BDD scenarios.

• Manage and enhance AI-assisted automation frameworks.

• Generate synthetic test data and improve testing productivity using AI tools.

• Perform in-depth manual and automated testing of RESTful APIs using tools like Postman.

• Validate JSON/XML payloads headers status codes and authentication mechanisms.

• Write complex SQL queries (joins subqueries aggregations) to verify data integrity.

• Validate backend processes including ETL data migrations and microservices architecture.

• Monitor logs message queues (Kafka RabbitMQ) and CRON jobs to ensure system reliability.

• Conduct detailed manual and exploratory testing with a break-the-system approach.

• Focus on edge cases negative scenarios and complex business logic validation.

• Identify isolate and document defects with high precision (logs DB states API calls).

• Participate in sprint planning requirement analysis and test strategy discussions.

• 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a focus on backend/API testing.

• Strong proficiency in Generative AI tools for testing and productivity enhancement.

• Expertise in API testing tools such as Postman or Insomnia.

• Solid understanding of HTTP protocols microservices architecture and stateless systems.

• Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience in databases like PostgreSQL MySQL or MongoDB.

• Strong manual and exploratory testing capabilities.

• 2 years of automation experience using Java / Python / JavaScript with frameworks like Selenium Cypress or Playwright.

• Experience with tools like JIRA Git CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab) and log monitoring tools (Splunk Datadog Kibana).
