Automation Developer

• 5 years experience in automation testing.
• Experience with API Testing.
• At least 2 years of SQL/PLSQL experience and working knowledge of relational databases.
• Strong Java development experience (Java 8/11/17/21).
• Expert-level experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• Strong knowledge of Cucumber/Gherkin BDD frameworks.
• Experience building or maintaining automation frameworks using POM (Page Object Model) or other design patterns.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into Jenkins TeamCity Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to automate backend/API tests including REST or database validations.
• Experience with:
• - Git/GitHub/Bitbucket
• - Maven/Gradle
• - SonarQube for code quality checks
• - Sonatype (Nexus IQ) for dependency and security scanning
• Experience troubleshooting test environment issues data dependencies and flakiness
• Strong ownership mindset-comfortable taking responsibility for coverage quality and stability.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present test coverage metrics to stakeholders.
• Logical thinker with strong debugging and root cause analysis skills.
• Highly organized detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple workstreams.
• Works collaboratively within cross-functional Agile teams.
• Proactive and self-driven; able to identify issues before they become risks.
• Adaptable and eager to learn new tools frameworks and vendor platforms.

Beneficial knowledge/experience

• Familiarity with Docker container-based test execution or cloud-hosted automation.
• Knowledge of service virtualization mocks stubs and test data management strategies.

• Exposure to vendor platforms such as Fenergo (FenX) or Markit EDM
