Inviting applications for the role of Analyst Data Governance Analyst!
In this role we are seeking an enthusiastic Data Governance Analyst (Fresher) to support the management and quality of business-critical data. This role is ideal for candidates who are beginning their careers and have basic academic or project exposure to data governance data management data quality data cataloguing (e.g. Collibra) and SQL.
The candidate should be eager to learn detail oriented and capable of supporting senior team members in day to day data governance activities.
Responsibilities
Assist in cataloguing and classifying data using standard terminology and basic data taxonomy principles.
Support Business and Technology teams by helping document and communicate data related requirements under guidance.
Coordinate with senior domain owners and assist in maintaining stakeholder documentation.
Help identify simple data quality issues and document ownership and remediation steps as instructed.
Support the team in defining critical data elements basic standards and business rules.
Learn and assist in creating SQL-based data quality rules using the firms DQ tools.
Perform basic data profiling activities with supervision.
Prepare simple and accurate reports and summaries of data quality metrics for the Corporate Services Data Domain.
Assist with documentation related to data dictionaries data lineage and data flows.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Some year of experience or academic exposure in Data Governance Data Management or Data Quality.
Basic knowledge of SQL for querying and data manipulation.
Exposure to Collibra or any data cataloguing tool is an advantage.
Familiarity with Data Quality tools (Ataccama IDQ Collibra etc.) is a plus not mandatory.
Strong communication skills willingness to learn and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of database concepts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to MS Project is a plus.
Bachelors degree required.
Able to follow instructions manage tasks and learn from senior team members.
