Job Summary

As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Documentation Generation-Generation of SLM Weld Matrix and other required documents for upcoming launches where not already in place through use ofBoMs 3D Models drawings and any other supplied with other members ofSchematics and ME teams to ensure all information supplied iscorrect andfit for use.

  • Creation of Documentation Packages- Sourcing and printing of all required documents forjobs sooncommencingand compilation into document packages for use in ofpackets currently in circulation andupdating documents within packets in case of revision / changesrequired.

  • Routing-Creation of masterroutings for newP/Nsincluding all required instruction and detail with hours estimations basedoff ofpreviousperformance of similar of routings on active work orders whererequired for deviation of scope to other work orders orwhere change of scope is to PC to be made ifany OSP OPs are added for POs to be raised of NSWOs whererequiredfor multiple reasons including repeat NSWOs and for rework.

  • Tracking-Hours booked to jobsmonitoredto ensure no issues arising communicating withdepartment lead hand to ensure correct offindings changes to be made toallocatedhours where needed with end goal of reducing the hours taken to complete jobs.

  • Improvements-Frequent discussion withcolleagues to findpossible improvementsin processes orsystems andimplementing these changeswithin reasonable improvements are to be used as CI projects these are to be properly documented and recorded.

  • Support-Providinggeneral supportto MEs where able to and available (printing documentation packagesproviding information etc.).Completion of work for other Machining Routings.

To be successful in this role you will:

Responsibilities authorities and accountabilities

  • Manufacturing engineering tasks that do not require 4-year degree. Primarily tactical responsibilities. This does not include general administrative work.

  • Responsible to exchange data and information interaction concerns and also improvements in products processes and procedures.

  • Handles standardized manufacturing processes. Guidelines for choosing the right actions. Processes and procedures are frequently updated by other functions and have to be implemented in the department.

  • Leads a small manufacturing unit or a part of a bigger unit with a budget > $ 1.5 million.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing). Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering Specialist.
