Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to design develop and optimize scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake data modeling and data governance with hands-on experience in building robust data pipelines and ensuring high data quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement canonical and dimensional data models for analytics and reporting.
• Develop and maintain Snowflake stored procedures Tasks and Streams for data processing and automation.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Snowflake features such as Snowpipe.
• Handle and transform semi-structured data (VARIANT/JSON) efficiently.
• Optimize query performance storage and compute usage in Snowflake.
• Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and data masking policies for secure data access.
• Ensure data quality consistency and lineage tracking across systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analysts data scientists and business stakeholders.
• Monitor data pipelines and ensure system reliability using observability tools.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (SQL Stored Procedures Tasks Streams Snowpipe)
• Expertise in dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schema)
• Experience handling semi-structured data (JSON VARIANT)
• Knowledge of data governance RBAC and security best practices
• Experience implementing data quality frameworks and validation checks
• Strong understanding of performance tuning and query optimization
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools

Nice to Have:

• Experience integrating with downstream analytics or AI/ML platforms
• Exposure to Modern Data Stack / MCP (Model Context Protocol)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP
