Calypso Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Calypso Developer with strong technical expertise in the Calypso Platform and a solid understanding of the capital markets domain.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for development customization and support of Calypso modules across Front Office Middle Office and Back Office operations ensuring efficient trade processing and optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize solutions within the Calypso platform including Scheduled Tasks Reports and Engines
• Work with Calypso APIs for system integration and enhancements
• Understand and implement Calypso messaging and sender frameworks
• Support configuration and development across Front Office Middle Office and Back Office workflows
• Write optimize and maintain SQL queries and work with Calypso database tables
• Participate in system design development testing and production support
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolutions
• Ensure adherence to development standards and best practices

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of overall Calypso architecture
• Hands-on experience in Calypso development and customization
• Experience working with Calypso versions v16 v17 or v18
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database structures within Calypso
• Experience with Calypso APIs messaging framework and sender framework
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues

Domain Knowledge

• Strong understanding of banking and capital markets domain
• Knowledge of Front Office Middle Office and Back Office operations
• Experience working with financial products such as:
  • FX
  • Derivatives
  • Equity Repo Swaps (ERS)
  • Fixed Income
  • Money Market
  • Repo

Preferred Skills

• Experience in trade lifecycle management within Calypso
• Exposure to integration with other banking systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience

• 3 – 7 years (flexible based on candidate profile)
