Smart Ship Hub is seeking a seasoned Technical Architect to lead and scale multiple platform components. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep expertise in backend and frontend technologies cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. You will own the architecture design and delivery of production-grade systems that power Smart Ship Hub’s enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design and development of multiple enterprise platform components.
• Build high-performance scalable and reliable microservices-based systems.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of production-grade features with a focus on availability and performance.
• Define and enforce technical architecture design standards and coding best practices.
• Collaborate with product design and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure adherence to Agile processes and SDLC best practices.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews design discussions and technical guidance.
• Champion engineering excellence including unit testing documentation and performance optimization.
• Improve engineering productivity by leveraging modern AI development tools and automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6–8 years of software development experience with at least 3 years as a Tech Lead/Architect.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Hands-on expertise in backend and frontend technologies:
  • Java TypeScript
• Strong database experience:
  • PostgreSQL MySQL Hadoop
  • Database sharding performance optimization concurrency multi-threading
  • Experience building analytics applications (e.g. Tableau) with Hadoop/Postgres/data ingestion
• Experience with distributed systems:
  • Kafka Redis RabbitMQ
• Deep understanding of Microservices Architecture and API design.
• DevOps and infrastructure expertise:
  • Docker Kubernetes Nginx AWS/GCP
• Proven track record of delivering high-scale high-performance production systems.
• Experience in Agile environments and SDLC processes (functional specs architecture design documentation unit testing).
• Familiarity with modern AI developer tools (e.g. ChatGPT Cursor Antigravity).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building large-scale SaaS platforms.
• Prior experience leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of scalability reliability and observability.
• Expertise in performance tuning and distributed architecture.
