Program Coordinator
Job Summary
Role Purpose
The Program Coordinator will support the planning implementation monitoring and reporting of NGO projects to ensure effective delivery and alignment with organizational goals. The role requires strong coordination communication and organizational skills to manage multi-sectoral programs liaise with stakeholders and ensure compliance with donor and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Program Planning & Implementation
Assist in the design and execution of program activities in line with donor requirements and organizational strategy.
Develop work plans activity schedules and budgets in collaboration with program teams.
Ensure timely delivery of program outputs and outcomes.
Monitoring Evaluation & Learning (MEL)
Support the development of monitoring frameworks and indicators.
Collect analyze and report program data to measure progress and impact.
Document lessons learned and best practices to inform future programming.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare high-quality progress reports donor reports and internal updates.
Maintain accurate records of program activities beneficiaries and outputs.
Ensure compliance with reporting timelines and donor requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
Liaise with community leaders government agencies donors and partner organizations.
Represent the organization in coordination meetings and workshops.
Facilitate communication between field teams and headquarters.
Financial & Resource Management
Support budget tracking and ensure expenditures align with approved budgets.
Assist in procurement and logistics coordination for program activities.
Ensure accountability and transparency in resource utilization.
Team Support & Capacity Building
Provide guidance and support to field staff and volunteers.
Facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff and community stakeholders.
Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments.
Compliance & Safeguarding
Ensure adherence to organizational policies donor regulations and local laws.
Uphold safeguarding gender and inclusion standards in all program activities.
Promote accountability and ethical practices within the program.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Development Studies Social Sciences Public Administration or related field (Masters preferred).
Minimum 35 years of experience in program coordination within the NGO/humanitarian sector.
Strong knowledge of project cycle management (PCM) monitoring & evaluation (M&E) and donor compliance.
Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of local languages is an asset.
