Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse Med Surg/Telemetry (MS/Tele)
Location: Rochester NY
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week Night Shift (3x12) 03:00 AM 03:00 PM
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The RN will monitor patients with cardiac and medical conditions administer treatments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Document all patient care activities accurately in the EMR system
- Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists and care teams
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge care
- Respond to emergencies and escalate care when necessary
- Float to other units as required based on facility needs
Qualifications
- Active New York RN License (required)
- Minimum 12 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience
- Chemo Certification (required)
- BLS ACLS and NIHSS certifications (required)
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system (required)
- Strong clinical judgment communication and teamwork skills
