Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse NICU
Location: Ithaca NY 14850
Duration: 13 Weeks (High Possibility of Extension)
Schedule: Night Shift 36 Hours/Week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to neonatal patients within a Maternal Child Health setting. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient-centered care while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for newborns and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in the NICU
- Monitor and assess patient conditions responding promptly to changes
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Support respiratory and critical care needs of neonatal patients
- Educate and support families regarding patient care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists and healthcare teams
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies safety standards and infection control protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of NICU experience
- Associates Degree in Nursing (AASN) or higher
Certifications & Licensure
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Active New York RN License (required at time of submission)
