The Aggregate Sales Representative is responsible for managing and growing sales across two primary product lines: Gravel/Aggregates and Pulverized Products. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships supporting existing accounts identifying new business opportunities and coordinating with internal teams to deliver reliable service and product solutions.
The position serves as a key link between customers operations logistics and leadership to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and consistently.

Core Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management
- Manage and maintain a portfolio of existing customer accounts across aggregate and pulverized product lines.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and responsive service.
- Provide pricing product availability order status and general account support.
- Follow up on customer quotes inquiries and service requests.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business relationships.
Customer Solutions & Product Support
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Communicate product specifications technical information and sample availability as needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align customer demand with production capacity and inventory.
Logistics & Operations Coordination
- Coordinate with operations dispatch warehouse and transportation partners to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Support end-to-end order flow from placement through delivery or pickup.
- Help resolve scheduling service or delivery issues as they arise.
Pricing & Planning
- Prepare and communicate pricing information to customers in a timely manner.
- Support annual pricing updates forecasting and budgeting activities.
- Monitor market conditions and customer trends to support business planning and growth.
Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Work closely with internal departments to support daily operations and customer service.
- Provide support and guidance to administrative or operational support staff as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Coursework or experience in chemistry science physics or related fields is beneficial.
Experience
- Experience in sales account management customer service logistics or related business functions preferred.
- Industry experience in aggregates manufacturing industrial products or construction materials is a plus.

Travel Requirements
- Travel may include customer sites plant locations and regional offices.
- Primary travel regions include:
- Chicago Illinois and surrounding areas
- Wisconsin
- Cleveland Ohio and surrounding markets
- Additional Midwest regional customer locations as needed
- Occasional travel for industry events trade shows and conferences related to aggregates industrial minerals and manufacturing markets.
Working Conditions
- Combination of office plant warehouse and customer site environments.
- Regular phone email and computer-based communication required.
- Flexibility to respond to customer or operational needs outside standard business hours when necessary.
