The Position
Please note that this role offers a fixed-term contract (up until May 31 2028).
The Record to Report (R2R) Department is a global organization of over 650 experienced finance professionals working together to deliver financial services and solutions for Roche across the EMEA region. Our services cover financial management period-end closing capital and lease accounting credit and receivables manufacturing finance and divisional reporting ensuring compliance for 263 reporting entities in 96 countries with accounting standards (IFRS GAAP) and providing assurance of financial integrity.
The Opportunity
As a Financial Accountant you will perform day-to-day and closing activities in cooperation with cross-functional departments according to predefined deadlines with full ownership of their tasks and in compliance with the Process Documentations of the respective business sub-process. In this position in close collaboration with the Country Chief Accountant you will focus on:
Leased assets fixed asset and CAPEX accounting activities
Taxes GL journals and accruals/ provisions reconciling BS accounts
Clearing customer accounts and bank suspense accounts collecting direct debit daily bank posting posting and reconciling treasury transactions
Calculating and issuing AR manual invoices
Defining and calculating cost and revenue allocation in controlling
Conducting product closing in the Material Management module of SAP
Performing Month-end Closing and Reporting for Consolidation and for Divisions
Preparing audit documentation and participating in internal and external audits
Who you are

University degree preferably in Finance/Accounting related discipline
1-3 years of experience in a relevant position
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Outstanding customer orientation and service focus
Strong interpersonal skills and team player attitude
Proficiency in English
