Job Summary
The Salamanca City Central School District is actively seeking Substitute Teachers for all grade levels and buildings.
At Salamanca every employee is a vital contributor to our mission of making students smarter and supporting their overall growth. Our Substitute Teachers provides temporary instructional support in the absence of the regular classroom teacher ensuring that students continue to receive a safe productive and engaging learning experience. This role is responsible for maintaining classroom order implementing lesson plans and instructional activities as provided supervising students and fostering a positive learning environment.
The ideal candidate is flexible dependable and able to adapt quickly to different grade levels subject areas and classroom settings. Substitute Teachers play an important role in supporting student learning upholding school expectations and contributing to the overall continuity of the educational program.
2025-2026 Substitute Teacher Pay Rates
Uncertified Substitute $150.00 per day
New York State Certified Substitute $180.00 per day
Special Requirement for Appointment inSchool DISTRICTS/BOCES
Per regulations of the Commissioner of Education to be employed in a position designated by a school district or BOCES as involving direct contact with students a clearance for employment (fingerprinting) from the State Education Department is required.
