POSITION: TemporaryGrounds person (Up to 4 positions)
LOCATION: Maintenance
HOURS: 8.00/day Monday - Friday
SALARY: $17.13/hour

QUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Current Washington State Public Operators spray license/certification to be considered required.
- Ability to perform heavy outside duties in all types of weather.
- Successful experience in grounds care and grounds maintenance.
- Valid Washington State drivers license and maintain a good driving record required.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Prior experience in grounds care and grounds maintenance.
- Willingness to accept and carry out directions as required.
- Physical ability to do required work which could include squatting bending stooping carrying liftingclimbing of ladders and other repetitive demanding functions.
- Ability and willingness to function as part of a departmental team.
- Demonstrated exemplary customer service and responsiveness.
Excellent safety record.
Demonstrated skills in equipment maintenance.
Ability to work as part of a district groundskeeping team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with staff students and parents
- Demonstrated exceptional service to students and staff.
- Must maintain and respect confidentiality of district records and matters.
- Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures.
- Experience operating and performing maintenance checks on various equipment to include but not limited to front deck rotary mowers turf tractors landscaping tractors high lift sweepers mowers and trucks ranging in size from pickups to dump trucks.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional cooperative working relationships.
DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required but would be useful to the position)
- Bilingual/Biliterate English/Spanish.
General Respoisibilities:
Perform routine groundswork such as mowing sweeping edging trimming plowing pruning debris removal watering repairing preparing. Skilled duties include spraying planting seeding and applying fertilizer/herbicides at proper times and rates; ability to calibrate spray and spreader systems to recommendations; general knowledge of irrigation systems.
