A vacancy has arisen for a Sgt (Logs (MTD)) to serve as SNCO Logistics at 602 (City of Glasgow) Sqn on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 28 September 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status).

Responsible for operational delivery and management of all Sqn MT vehicles plus MT professional training and development for all drivers on the unit. The post will also be responsible for all support aspects required by the operational flights encompassing Logistics Air & Space Intelligence and Cyber Security.

Reportingto the Sqns FS the post will be based in Glasgow. Regular attendance at Sqn duty weekends is expected and there will be routine travel to units within the Sqn parenting structure.

About You. 602 Sqn are looking for a Sgt (Logistics (Driver)) who is able to manage all aspects of the Sqns MT and support requirements in order to enable the units operational delivery. The successful applicant will understand how the RAF and the RAuxAF is organised and functions with an awareness of the RAFs MT profession.

We need a Sgt who is proactive professional resourceful organised and most importantly have great people skills to join this busy Airbase Operations Support Squadron (AOSS) Sqn.

About Us. 602 Sqn has a long-standing heritage that started in 1925 and achieved a distinguished operational record firstly as a fighter and then as a bomber squadron during World War II achieving 7 Battle Honours throughout Europe and North Africa. 602 Sqn is now a RAuxAF AOSS Sqn that provides dedicated support to the RAF in Scotland and beyond to assist the delivery of Air and Space Operations.

The successful candidate will be trained experienced and able to fit into an established team quickly. Everything that they do will be focused at providing and improving the operational output of the Sqns PTVR Aviators.
