We are a multi service organization with over 700 employees providing a broad range of services including: 29 Child Care Centres 49 Before and After Care programs 204 Licensed Home Child Cares 9 EarlyON programs 2 Homework Plus programs and Special Needs Resourcing for children and their families living in the Greater Toronto Purpose:The Program Facilitator plans facilitates programs for families/caregivers and children from birth through six years of age programming indoors 4 season outdoors and virtual Facebook Zoom Storypark and doing live and making prerecorded videos of themselves. Upholds policy and procedures as they relate to the children services personnel and team development. Ensure the accountability of all early years programs and services. Provide families/caregivers the resources and referrals to early child development. The centres are open six days per week. Work schedule will be flexible including evenings week-ends & satellite Duties:Demonstrates promotes and articulates the value of childrens play as learning Understands and demonstrates age appropriate and developmental child guidance Awareness of the learning process and the ability to follow a childs lead to expand learning opportunitiesPlans and facilitates a variety of developmentally appropriate programs for families and responds to diverse cultural needsPrepares developmentally appropriate programs for infants/toddlers/pre-school children and their families Provides families/caregivers with evidenced based information to questions based on all aspects of a childs development Supports families/caregivers by providing agency referrals and contact information in the communitySupports families in understanding the importance of interacting with their children during the programPlans for and facilitates family centered and professional development workshops and evaluates the effectiveness of the programsMaintains good relationship with other community agencies and early learning programs Education and Experience RequiredE.C.E. degree/diploma Knowledge of parent education child development & community resourcesExperience in facilitating parent education workshops Excellent organizational & computer communication customer service and interpersonal skillsCommitment to Social InclusionAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to speak second language an assetFlexible working hours Must be computer literate and required together with current license and vehicle liability insuranceMedical required including TB (two stages) 6 months current to hiring datePolice Vulnerable Sector Check 6 months current to hiring dateValid Standard First Aid and CPR level C You will be required to work evenings and weekends Diversity and Inclusion:Family Day fosters a positive inclusive workplace culture with a workforce that is representative of the families and communities it serves.
