Key Responsibilities for Physical Therapist Assistant(PTA):
- Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans as prescribed
- Provide therapeutic exercises gait training balance activities and functional training
- Administer physical agents such as heat cold ultrasound or electrical stimulation (per state regulations)
- Observe document and report patient responses and progress to the Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises safety and proper body mechanics
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment
- Ensure a safe clean and supportive treatment environment
- Comply with all facility policies professional standards and state practice acts
Qualifications for Physical Therapist (PTA): - Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Massachusetts.
- Previous experience in home health or outpatient physical therapy preferred.
- Strong assessment communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Reliable transportation and valid drivers license.
