Were looking for an Infrastructure & Network Engineer to help ensure the reliability security and performance of our core IT estate. This is a great opportunity to work across onpremise and cloud environments supporting critical platforms that underpin our business and enabling innovation across multiple sites.
Reporting to the Senior Network Architect youll work closely with IT Operations Information Security Enterprise Applications and thirdparty partners to deliver resilient secure and wellrun infrastructure services.
What youll be doing
- Supporting and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure including switching routing wireless and WAN technologies
- Assisting with firewall configuration and network security controls
- Administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online Teams SharePoint Intune) and Azure AD
- Supporting server environments including Windows Server virtualisation platforms storage and backup solutions
- Troubleshooting and resolving escalated infrastructure and network issues
- Contributing to infrastructure and security improvements across multiple sites
- Supporting patching monitoring incident response and business continuity activities
- Assisting with disaster recovery planning and testing
- Maintaining accurate system documentation network diagrams and procedures
- Monitoring performance and capacity to help improve reliability and resilience
What were looking for
You dont need to tick every box but you should be able to demonstrate strong experience in at least five of the areas below:
- Enterprise LAN/WAN networking (routing switching VLANs WiFi)
- Firewall administration and network security
- Microsoft 365 and Azure AD identity management
- Windows Server Linux virtualisation (VMware / HyperV) and storage
- Client operating systems (Windows macOS Linux)
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure and network issues
- Applying security best practice (patching hardening identity)
- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience delivering infrastructure or security solutions across multiple locations
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Qualifications (desirable)
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) or CompTIA (Network Server Security)
- Degree in IT Computer Science or a related discipline
