What are we looking for
Cleveland Clinic London is seeking to appoint a Head of Human Resources to oversee our HR Operations Team for 10 to 12 month maternity cover. This is a full-time role with some hybrid working however is predominately office based.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive short-term and long-range plans for HR initiatives across the organisation. The role requires someone who can drive improvements across operations programmes and services ensuring that the HR function continues to support the organisations strategic objectives.
This is a senior leadership role requiring both strategic insight and hands-on expertise. The successful candidate will lead the HR Operations function while also personally contributing to complex and highimpact HR operational matters including employee relations organisational change restructures (including TUPE) and risk-sensitive people issues.
The role operates within a fastmoving highacuity healthcare environment and requires sound judgement influence and the confidence to challenge and advise senior leaders appropriately.

What will your duties include
Act as a trusted adviser to executives and senior leaders on complex and sensitive people matters providing clear pragmatic and legally sound advice.
Lead develop and oversee the Human Resource Operations team (including HR Business Partners HR Partners HR Coordinators and others) through providing operational leadership aligned with business goals.
Provide direct leadership and oversight for high impact HR Operational activity including complex employee relations cases restructures including TUPE and similar technical work.
Oversee the design and delivery of proactive employee relations and engagement initiatives working in partnership with the HRBP partner team and relevant Centres of Excellence.
Drive collaboration across all HR Centres of Excellence (Talent Reward Learning & Engagement) ensuring policies processes and programmes are effectively implemented across the organisation.
Ensure full compliance with UK employment law and healthcare regulatory requirements proactively monitoring legislative changes and advising leadership on risk and mitigation.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives within HR Operations using data insight and metrics to improve service delivery employee experience and organisational outcomes.
Represent HR Operations as a key contributor within the HR Leadership Team sharing ownership for the effectiveness and credibility of the whole HR function.
What we need from you
Preferably candidates will hold CIPD level 7 qualifications or a degree in HR Management Business Management or a related field.
A senior HR professional substantial experience across HR Operations HR Business Partnering and/or Employee Relations roles.
Proven experience of working closely with Executives or senior leadership teams influencing decisionmaking and delivering outcomes in complex environments.
Expert knowledge of UK employment law including an understanding future legislation anticipating change and ensuring the organisation is prepared for these forecast changes in the legislative landscape.
Demonstrable subject matter expert (SME) knowledge in delivering HR services organisational change and managing employee relation cases in legally compliant ways.
Recent professional experience in healthcare is highly desirable particularly a UK private healthcare setting
Strong commercial and organisational insight with the ability to balance risk employee experience and organisational priorities.
