Position Overview
Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital the Housekeeping Porter is responsible for performing various cleaning functions/services throughout all areas of the Hospital campus; understanding and following Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) guidelines; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to read write speak and understand English.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Ability to adapt readily to fast-paced situations.
- Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk stand bend lift twist and reach continuously throughout the entire shift.
- Ability to lift a minimum of approximately 50 lbs./23 kgs.
- Ability to lift push and pull heavy weights climb ladders/skyjack/scissor lift.
