Junior Financial Analyst
Job Summary
Optimal on behalf of its client a leading company in the Retail sector is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join its dynamic team.
As a Junior Financial Analyst you will play a key role in supporting commercial teams with data-driven insights and financial analysis. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to monitor performance identify profitability drivers and support strategic decision-making that enhances business growth.
Key Responsibilites:
- Partner with Commercial and Channel teams to support performance monitoring and data-driven decision making.
- Perform profitability analysis across categories channels and vendors identifying key margin drivers and opportunities for improvement.
- Support and coordinate month-end closing as well as budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Translate financial data into clear commercial insights providing actionable recommendations that drive business performance.
- Maintain ownership of categories P&L ensuring effective performance tracking variance analysis and alignment with financial targets.
- Prepare reports and analyses to support strategic planning and business initiatives.
Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of proven professional experience in a Financial Analyst role.
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial performance drivers.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Fluency in English both written and verbal.
