Job Summary
Heres What You Need
- Bachelors Degree Completion of a Physical Therapy program is required
- 2 years of experience in inpatient/acute care is strongly preferred.
- PT - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire is required And
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
What You Will Do
- Performs age appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care
- Obtains/verifies physician order for therapy and validates for appropriateness
- Sets appropriate measurable functional goals with time frames to address the identified problems including patient/family goals and preferences
- Performs age appropriate patient treatment
- Communicates with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues
- Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs
- Demonstrates Professional accountability

We have 60 inpatient beds for acute medical and surgical needs. Our campus has a Womens Imaging and Breast Center a bariatric clinic an ambulatory surgery center and a variety of physician practices. All dedicated to our evolving community health needs. Plus we have several new and expanded service lines including a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit updated labor and delivery suites a cardiac catheterization lab an interventional radiology suite additional surgery suites plus expanded emergency and intensive care areas.
