Director Quality & Centralized Coding

Schedule:Days: Monday-Friday. Full time.

Job Location Type:Remote work. You may be asked to travel once or twice a year for department meetings.

How youll contribute

ADirector Quality & Centralized Coding who excels in this role:

  • Responsible for coding operations and medical record documentation improvement operations (as applicable) ensuring timeliness accuracy completeness consistency compliance and standards fulfillment as defined in expectations.
  • Contributes to the development of strategic direction.
  • Coaches and provides overall guidance to the quality team to resolve internal and external issues; help resolve dysfunctional behavior within functional areas; discipline and counsel staff as necessary.
  • Monitors performance according to productivity and quality standards as defined in policies and other standard documents.
  • Manages and motivates quality improvement operations.
  • Assists in the development and management of strategy specific goals objectives budgets and performance standards for the department.
  • Proactively manages including corresponding communications and escalations paths significant issues in the quality processes and status of projects barriers and successes.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to lower costs and improve services for stakeholders.
  • Stays abreast of regulatory requirements and company compliance policies ensuring compliant and timely staff education and training.
  • Monitors overall trends and communicates to others as necessary.
  • Providers leadership to quality management team regarding monthly trending analysis of performance including weekly and monthly reports.
  • Oversees quality review personnel providing recommendations of hiring promotion salary adjustments and personnel action where appropriate.
  • Responsible for ensuring employee work schedules sufficiently meet the requirements as established.
  • Reviews all official data quality standards coding guidelines company policies and procedures and clinical/medical resources to assure coding knowledge and skills remain current.
  • Ensures all Federal State and Local laws pertaining to patient privacy are adhered to.
  • Practices and adheres to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What were looking for

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: 5-7 years quality review experience 7 years experience in a leadership role.

  • Certifications: CPC or CCS-P and CPMA required

Hourly range: $89937 per year. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education qualifications experience and work location. This position is bonus eligible
