Job Summary

Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Social Studies Teacher for the school year. The teacher is responsible for providing instruction aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards while supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Social Studies to middle school students
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons
  • Cover curriculum areas such as history geography civics and social sciences
  • Assess student learning and maintain required academic records
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
  • Maintain a positive structured and faithcentered learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
  • Participate in faculty meetings professional development and school activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Education Social Studies or related field
  • Missouri teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Middle school teaching experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Catholic education preferred
