Job Summary
Position Summary:
Under general supervision performs a variety of custodial duties in assigned areas. Responsible for general cleaning in all areas of the facility. Primarily works on own with minimal direct supervision.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Sweeps mops and dusts assigned areas. These include bathrooms cafeterias offices and entry ways.
- Removes full trash containers from bathrooms offices and cafeteria.
- Operates powered floor sweepers.
- Responsible for keeping track of consumable supply items (i.e. paper towels bathroom tissues cleaning supplies etc) and turning in orders so as to keep facility adequately supplied. Check in received orders to verify shipments are complete.
- Check supply levels of coffee machine in cafeterias. Order supplies as needed.
- Handles a variety of chemicals for cleaning. Follows safe handling procedures.
- On occasion must deal with bodily waste clean-up and disposal. Follows proper procedures for handling and disposal.
- Any other special cleaning related items as assigned.
Essential Abilities or Functions:
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively by oneself with minimal direct supervision throughout the day.
Be able to handle and lift mop buckets weighing up to 40 lbs.
Shift:
Monday - Friday 10:30am - 6:30pm(overtime when needed)
