Who are we looking for

We are looking for a Design Engineer FPGA Firmware to help design advanced electronic systems in the field of digital communications GNSS and security.

Required technical competences

• Master in Electronics
• 0-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of VHDL is required knowledge of C/C and Python is an asset
• Experience with one or more vendor design toolchains (Xilinx (AMD) Microchip or other)
• Experience with SoC devices (Xilinx/AMD Zync RFSoC Versal) is an asset
• Knowledge of the FPGA build process and scripting possibilities
• Knowledge of source control (Git)
• Experience with automated simulation and test environments is an asset
• Experience with FPGA design for in-space environments (ECSS-standards) is an asset
• Experience in digital signal processing GNSS or the security domain is an asset

• You possess good communication skills
• You are dynamic motivated and responsible. You are eager to learn.
• You can work in a team as well as autonomously

Mandatory Requirements :

• Eligible for an EU security clearance (EU citizen or eligible for citizenship and living in the EU for at least 10 years.
• Candidates currently living outside Belgium will only be considered if they are willing to relocate to Belgium before the start of their contract. Relocation is a prerequisite for employment.
• Fluency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of Dutch and French is an asset.

Where do you fit in

• You become part of a team experienced in modem/GNSS/security developments
• You will collaborate with the other FPGA designers as well as with the system hardware and software engineers in the team
• You take part in the end-to-end FPGA design of the products from concept phase up to RTL design testbench development simulation synthesis timing closure
• You participate in hardware bring-up debugging and validation activities
