Position SummaryThe Financial Analyst will support the Finance Manager in updating analyzing and managing the financial reporting and transactions of Sacred Heart Universitys Administration Duties & ResponsibilitiesAnalyze budget vs. actual expenditures and generate reports and statistical data as the Department follows the Universitys financial accounting policies and procedures; coordinate with accounting and other personnel as appropriate to ensure in preparing the monthly financial reports journal entries and periodic forecasts. Maintain complete and accurate records of all supporting materials for all internal requisitions and/or POs as deemed appropriate for next-level review and processing in a timely with staff and administration as and implement all supporting financial and budget management procedures for the Department; analyze data to measure and report Department progress toward achieving annual the Finance Manager of the Administration Division in ensuring that daily financial information requests are completed in a timely effective and efficient in supporting the staff in auxiliary operations. Develop expertise in internal administrative systems becoming the go-to person for administrative processing other duties as assigned by your various financial systems such as SHU Ebuy Colleague etc. to process financial transactions and analyze financial resources available to the guidance and information for department managers to assist in budget and review all Department data to maintain consistency with Departmental budget requirements; Coordinate with appropriate accounting staff to pay invoices resolve discrepancies and follow Director of Construction and Director of Facilities on any ad hoc financial requestsInteract effectively with Department staff as well as campus and outside and update information on Departmental vehicles utility meters telephones elevators and properties rented for student daily POs requisitions and Skills Abilities & Other AttributesBachelors degree in accounting.2 to 5 years of related be have an advanced working knowledge of have experience with processing journal analytical interpersonal communication problem-solving and organizational to learn new responsibilities and work team-oriented and maintain a positive attitude.
