Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead R&D Manufacturing and other functions in program development activities to ensure achievement of key milestones and vehicle Quality/Cost/Timing targets.
  • Support the Assistant Chief Vehicle Engineer in defining and completing program metrics and direction to meet overall vehicle objectives.
  • Develop and manage project schedules ensuring control of the critical path.
  • Prepare and chair progress milestone meetings confirming all deliverables.
  • Monitor metrics identify key issues and escalate decision-ready matters to the Chief Engineer.
  • Ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget.
  • Work cross-functionally and cross-culturally within the Nissan organization.
  • Anticipate potential Quality/Cost/Timing concerns and proactively propose preventive or recovery actions.
  • Guide teammates in project management activities.
  • Be accountable for all deliverables and actions within the project.

Knowledge and Competencies:

  • Broad knowledge and experience in the automotive industry.
  • Proven leadership experience and people management skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the market and applications.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others even without a formal leadership title.

Experience Required:

  • Background in Product Development and/or Project Management.
  • Solid experience in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in Product Development Engineering or Production Engineering.
  • Experience interacting with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Advanced english level
  • Mandatory bachelors degree in engineering
