Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead R&D Manufacturing and other functions in program development activities to ensure achievement of key milestones and vehicle Quality/Cost/Timing targets.
- Support the Assistant Chief Vehicle Engineer in defining and completing program metrics and direction to meet overall vehicle objectives.
- Develop and manage project schedules ensuring control of the critical path.
- Prepare and chair progress milestone meetings confirming all deliverables.
- Monitor metrics identify key issues and escalate decision-ready matters to the Chief Engineer.
- Ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget.
- Work cross-functionally and cross-culturally within the Nissan organization.
- Anticipate potential Quality/Cost/Timing concerns and proactively propose preventive or recovery actions.
- Guide teammates in project management activities.
- Be accountable for all deliverables and actions within the project.
Knowledge and Competencies:
- Broad knowledge and experience in the automotive industry.
- Proven leadership experience and people management skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of the market and applications.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate others even without a formal leadership title.
Experience Required:
- Background in Product Development and/or Project Management.
- Solid experience in the automotive industry.
- Experience in Product Development Engineering or Production Engineering.
- Experience interacting with executive-level stakeholders.
- Advanced english level
- Mandatory bachelors degree in engineering
