Job Description

UW Medicines Patient and Family Education Services department has an outstanding opportunity for a Editor-Publications.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 8 hours per week
  • Day Shift

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide editorial and proofreading feedback on all patient education documents produced by the Patient and Family Education Department
  • Use analytical verbal and written communication skills.
  • Utilize computer applications word processing spreadsheets and databases. Perform data entry accurately and completely.
  • Conduct work tasks in a professional friendly customer focused manner while maintaining confidentiality
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to UWMC policies/practice guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in English journalism humanities or related field; OR four years of combined college education and editing experience; OR four years of full-time publication editing experience.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license certification and/or registration.
