Job Summary
Location: Renton Washington (Seattle Area)
A well-established not-for-profit healthcare system in the Seattle area is actively seeking a full-time Hospitalist Admitter to join its inpatient team in Renton Washington. The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.
Position Overview
Focus primarily on admitting patients from the Emergency Department and direct admissions
Perform comprehensive history and physical exams upon admission
Initiate diagnostic workups and treatment plans
Coordinate with consulting specialists and inpatient teams
Ensure smooth and efficient patient handoffs to rounding hospitalists
Collaborate closely with ED physicians specialists and care coordination teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Active or eligible for Washington State medical licensure
Active/eligible DEA registration
Prior hospitalist or inpatient experience preferred
Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
