Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Department

What Youll Do
Examinepatients performcomprehensive physical examinations and compiles patient medical data including health history and results of examinations.
- Works in collaboration with physicians to assess the physical needs of patients seen in the Emergency Department
- Orders interprets and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians and other departments.
- Collaborates with hospitalists and specialists regarding transfers and admissions when appropriate.
- Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment.
- In addition to primary duties and responsibilities in the Emergency Department
- Participates in quality assurance planning initiatives and improvement projects.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Who Were Looking For
- Active American Heart Association ACLS and PALS certifications are required upon hire and must be maintained throughout GRHD employment.
- ATLS certification is preferred but not required.
- 3 to 5 years working experience in an Emergency Department and/or clinical setting in a similar role preferred.
Physician Assistant:
- Requires graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active Colorado Physician Assistant licensure required.
- National Physician Assistant certification through NCCPA preferred.
- Masters Degree in area of specialty preferred.
Nurse Practitioner:
Requires active Colorado Licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in area of specialty based on RN licensure and Colorado authority for advanced practice.

- $72.00 hourly rate
- Weekend hourly rate of pay will be $78.00
- Holiday hourly rate of pay will be $91.00
