Job Summary
Job Title: ESG Credit Analyst

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We have an opportunity for an ESG Credit Analyst to join the Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) Credit team on a permanent basis.
The role focuses on sustainable credit research and ESG integration across a range of sectors and offers opportunities for interaction with stakeholders across the wider business as well as external clients and consultants.

About the role
ESG Integration
- Support wider ESG integration efforts in Credit funds liaising with credit analysts to ensure effective credit-specific ESG risk identification and mitigation
- Carry out creditor-specific engagement collaborating with the responsible investment team on projects.
- Support the delivery and improvement of the credit teams Climate Conviction framework.
- Support senior team members in new product development.
- Provide broader credit research support as required
Sustainable Credit
- Provide high quality sustainable research to support the delivery of the Sustainable Credit franchise.
- Contribute to the active ongoing monitoring of sustainable holdings providing research and analysis for evaluating material issuer events.
- Assist senior team members in managing review timelines and research updates to meet operating requirements.
- Leverage and improve AI tools and the wider use of data to enable the efficient delivery of sustainable research.
Clients
- Respond to client requests to support the external articulation of the credit teams approach to ESG integration.
- Attend client meetings as required.
- Liaise with the Responsible Investment team to deliver the Credit teams reporting requirements.
- Assist in the writing the quarterly ESG Activity Report.
About you
- Previous experience in a relevant role preferably with a focus on ESG analysis in an investment context.
- IMC / CFA or aspiration to achieve qualification; CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.
- Enthusiasm and aptitude to learn Sustainable analysis.
- Demonstrable interest in companies and financial markets.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a small team with minimal structure and hybrid working.
- Capable of building strong relationships with Fund Managers.
- Positive attitude.
