The opportunity:
TheBuild Supervisorwillhelp us drive the completion and quality of our Wifi installations across the UK ensuring that contractors work follows ourhigh standards and whererequiredtake a more proactive lead in completing installations. To ensure that each project is delivered as planned the Build Supervisor will oversee the cablingCABand electrical work elements of our build contractors to ensure that our network is presented on time for any project stakeholders. The taskobjectivesare to support the Project Manager in ensuring project milestones are completed on time within budget and to thehigh standardsand quality set by the business or our clients.
Key areas of focus:
Yourday to dayrole will consist of the following responsibilities you maybe requiredto carry out further responsibilities at the companys discretion.
- Supervising contractor installation teamsin the field ensuring that any project-specific quality or technical standards are well understood by the project team and contractor teams
- Assist the Project Manager in key tasks associated to client sites including; performance managing contractor resource reporting and site handover documentation including quality assessments.
- Assess works completed by a 3rd party to allow sign off
- Verifying at relevant project stages (sign-off) that these standards have been achieved (or triggering remedial action required)
- Ensure that Wifinity H&S requirements are beingalways adhered to
- Maintaining relationships between our clients and our build partners; handling managing and highlighting areas of concern for feedback and future improvement mechanisms to be initiated
- Producing post installationauditreportscontainingfactual informationthat allows feedback to be relayed in a positive and constructive manner that drives improvement
- Awareness of the differing demographic in our various client bases and being sensitive to the nuances that can arise from an installation as aresult
- CompleteAdhocpatching minorremedialor support of go lives as directed by the project manager
- Work with other Build Supervisors to align standards and better ways of working. Input recommendations for change into the company standards and specifications.
About you:
You will be apeople person with a keen eye for detailwith the ability tomanage multiple ongoing projects on location. You valuequality and havehigh standardswhen it comes to a finished productandare able toeffectively communicate feedback both positive and constructive to varied audiences. You are excellent at working with people and always strive to provide a customer driven approach. We are looking for someone that has:
- A UK Driving License
- Experience and qualification within street works. Understanding of the New Roads &StreetworksAct.
- Understanding of FTTP Openreach network and Civils delivery.
- Confidence using IT equipment and hand tools
- Ability and reliability to work in a team and be a self-motivator
- Flexibility to working indifferent locationsin the region
- Ability to produce audit reports with your findings in a clearconciseand digestible manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Effective communication and keen attention to detail
Your experience:
- Experience of managing teams and effectively managing build partner performance
- Good understanding ofWireless Network Technologiesand structured cabling
- Ability tocommunicate usingindustry language and terminologywithour build contractors
- Experience of working with/for telecommunications operators or service partners
It would be nice to also have but not essential:
- The ability to perform postEkahauWireless surveys (training can be provided)
- CDM awareness
- Working at heights training
