Who are we looking for
Our Southern Ontario offices of Whitby Toronto Mississauga Markham and St. Catherines are looking for Intermediate Bridge CAD Designers ready to join our growing Canadian Operations within the Transportation Group. This role is intended for intermediate Bridge CAD technicians looking to continue their careerin the design of transportation structures for municipalities MTO IO and major transportation partners.

This role can be based in any of our GTA offices - Toronto Mississauga Markham or Whitby as well as Waterloo office.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Taking engineering notes specifications rough sketches etc and formalizing them into working this role you will develop working drawings from equipment specifications engineering notes sketches and detailed drawings ensuring that they meet company and industry standards and codes.
- Working as part of a team and providing project design support including mentorship and guidance to Junior staff.
- Large and small team collaboration. Communication with other teams (highways civil electrical geotechnical etc.) sub-consultants municipalities utility companies other team members and clients
- Experience in design delivery within conventional and design-build project models is considered an asset.
- Applies technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable standards and codes such as CSA and MTO Standard Details.
- Exposure or desire to learn using visualization software platforms (Infraworks etc.) and design programming (Dynamo etc.) are considered assets but not required.
What you will bring to the Team
- 5 years experience in relevant design experience for bridges and related steel/concrete structures experience.
- Experience in bridge rehabilitation techniques and methodologies;
- Proficiency in REVIT AutoCAD Civil 3D Bentley and ProjectWise
- The ability to work in large multi-discipline teams and collaborate across regions.
- Diploma in Structural Technology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Ability to work independently and to provide direction to other members of a Project Team;
- Must have a valid Ontario drivers license

The salary range for this position is $62895 - $104869.The posted salary rangerepresentsthe expected hiring range for GHD locations in its major citycentres. Ranges may vary for positions in other locations.
