Job Summary
We have a new opportunity atWOOD-TVthat shines a light on our Daybreak newscasts. Ifyouresomeone whounderstands the importance of breaking news footage and you have the skills to edit video that brings stories to life this position is for you. ThisNews Photographer/Video Editoroperatesvideo cameras to record images or scenes for news TVUs for live . Andyoullsearchfeeds forvideothat becomesthe content we air during Daybreak. Whenyourein the fieldyoullsupportWOODTV. Youll even put on areporterhatonce in a whileto ask questions and write content. Andyoullfindvideo dial in liveshotsand edit the stories we air on multiple platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Edit new video and feed video for daily morning newscasts.
- Shoots video for news reports.
- Conferswith other personnel to discuss assignmentslogisticsand shot requirements.
- Sets up composes and executes video shots.
- Maintains video equipment.
- Be willing to write content for newscasts on TV segments on WOODTV and stories on .
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills:
- College diploma preferred.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Weprefersomeone with oneyearexperience operating video recording equipment.
- Proficiencywith computers telephones copiers scanners faxmachinesand other office equipment.
- Proficiencywith video recording equipment.
- Ability to meet deadlines prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work any shift.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- High stress environment with deadline pressures.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
- Must be able to lift setupandoperateequipment or items such as cameras tripods lights etc. up to 25 pounds.
