Seeking Full-Time Certified English Teacher for 2026-2027
ELA grades 4-8 or certificate in English 6-12
Starting Salary: $59149/year Additional Compensation for higher certification levels
Schedule: M-F 8-5pm
Devereux Georgia provides intensive residential treatment in a secure setting for youth ages 10 to 21 who are facing significant emotional behavioral and intellectual/developmental challenges. Our beautiful campus located in a serene wooded setting offers a swimming pool volleyball court tennis court playing field lake and playground which allow our youth the opportunity to enjoy plenty of outdoor activities.
Within our secure treatment setting we provide an on-campus K-12 accredited schoolAckerman Academy. Our school is designed to help students achieve academic success with an individualized curriculum and low teacher-to-student ratio.
Modified School Schedule:
Teachers follow a modified district calendar. Our teachers work additional days during Fall and Winter Breaks as well as 15 days during May/June for Summer Enrichment. One note of difference is during inclement weather our staff are expected to report to work (keeping in mind safety) while some districts may have either Virtual Learning or School Closure. Qualifications
Requirements:
- Must be 21
- Valid Drivers License
- Bachelors degree Masters preferred.
- Georgia Teaching certification: Social Studies certification 6-12 Special Education Teaching Certification SPED preferred
- Two (2) years teaching experience preferred
Schedule:
- Initial new hire paid training: 2 weeks M-F 8:30a - 5:30p located in Kennesaw GA
- Post training:School located in Lawrenceville M-F 8-5p
