Summary
The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of DSVs transportation and logistics division ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe efficient and cost-effective manner. This position will be responsible for managing staff developing and implementing operational policies and procedures and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners.

Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all aspects of the transportation and logistics division including planning scheduling and coordinating activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
Develop and implement operational policies procedures and systems to improve efficiency quality and safety.
Manage staff including hiring training and performance evaluation to ensure that all team members are working effectively and efficiently.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics including productivity cost and quality and develop plans to improve performance.
Maintain strong relationships with customers partners and vendors ensuring that all parties are informed and satisfied with the services provided.
Collaborate with other departments including sales and customer service to ensure that all aspects of the business are aligned and working together effectively.

Educational background / Work experience
Bachelors degree in business administration logistics supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
5 years of experience in transportation and logistics management preferably in a supervisory or management role.

Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address operational issues and challenges.
In-depth knowledge of transportation and logistics processes regulations and industry best practices.
Proficiency in using transportation management software such as TMS or WMS.
Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)
This position will be responsible for managing a team of operations staff.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in business administration logistics supply chain management or a related field.
Experience in international transportation and logistics management.

Language skills
Fluency in English (oral and written).

Computer Literacy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and PowerPoint and experience with transportation management software.

For this position the expected base pay range is $78000 $117500/ Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience skills education certifications and geographic location in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
